Marian Devotion - Week 2

Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfil the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world.
Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world.
O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.
We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home.

Mary, the Greatest Mother of All!

 The Church celebrates the entire month of May as a special month in which to honor Our Lady. There are May processions, crowning’s, and special novenas in her honor. May is bursting out with flowers - roses and wonderful scents fill the air, reminding us of the beauty of the Mother of God.
Mary was conscious of all the many hidden realities of what it is to be wife and mother. Her life with Jesus and Joseph was seasoned with many ups and downs trying to create a home in the midst of poverty and social unrest.  We honor her for giving us a holy example of motherly love in times of both joy and sorrow.
Mother’s Day is a time to show our appreciation for the women in our lives that have likewise shown us motherly love and care.  Not only our mother who gave birth to us, but all women who have sustained us as we’ve grown.   In each loving act of our mothers, we can see the hand of Mary guiding and bestowing favor.
I invite you to take time today, and each day this month, to pray for the intercession of Our Mother of Perpetual Help for your mother – that they may receive special assistance in their vocation of being a Mother.
Let us remember all our Mothers and entrust them to the care of Our Mother of Perpetual Help this day as we celebrate this holiday of honoring our Mothers.

Mother of Perpetual Help, be with all Mothers this day.
Assist them with your motherly love and keep them safe from all harm!

Marian Devotion - Week 1

My soul magnifies the Lord
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;
Because He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid;
For behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed;
Because He who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is His name;
And His mercy is from generation to generation
on those who fear Him.
He has shown might with His arm,
He has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
and has exalted the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich He has sent away empty.
He has given help to Israel, his servant, mindful of His mercy
Even as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity forever.
