Solemnity of Ss. Peter & Paul

O holy Apostles, Peter and Paul, I choose you this day and forever to be my special patrons and advocates; thee, Saint Peter, Prince of the Apostles, because thou art the Rock, upon which Almighty God has built His Church; thee, Saint Paul, because thou wast fore-chosen by God as the Vessel of election and the Preacher of truth in the whole world. Obtain for me, I pray you, lively faith, firm hope, and burning love; complete detachment from myself, contempt of the world, patience in adversity, humility in prosperity, attention in prayer, purity of heart, a right intention in all my works, diligence in fulfilling the duties of my state of life, constancy in my resolutions, resignation to the will of God and perseverance in the grace of God even unto death; that so, by means of your intercession and your glorious merits, I may be able to overcome the temptations of the world, the flesh and the devil, and may be made worthy to appear before the chief and eternal Shepherd of souls, Jesus Christ, Who with the Father and the Holy Ghost lives and reigns for endless ages, to enjoy His presence and love Him forever.
 Amen.

Father's Day at St. Jude's Chapel, Mt. D'or

This evening, the Fathers of St. Jude’s Chapel, Mt. D’or were treated this time by the women. All of the women of the Chapel came together to do something similar to what the Men did for the Mothers on Mother’s day, only this time the roles were reversed  and the treat was for the Fathers. The men enjoyed an evening of relaxation and community bonding. A lavish Dinner which consisted Channa & Potato, Curried Chicken & Duck, Pumpkin, Curried Mango and Roti was served with a slice of cake and a toast of non-alcoholic wine to compliment the meal.  We graciously thank all the women of the Mt. D’or Community for celebrating the Fathers and the hard work they do daily to reinforce the idea of Stewardship through social gathering. We wish ALL our Fathers of our Parish a Happy Father’s Day!  HERE You can view the photos that were taken during this special evening.

Confirmation Class' Ice Breaker

This Morning, Brother Sean Crepin presented to the Confirmation Class a talk based on the 'Year of Faith' which followed by a fun and relaxing ice-breaker where the boys had to build a Tower of strength (a human pyramid ) and the girls,Walls of Jericho (they had to get the smallest person through the wall). Then there was a Tug Of War where the boys went against the girls, which the girls came out victorious. Probably the PICTURES would tell the story in a clearer light.

Most Sacred Heart Of Jesus

Today, the church celebrates the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This feast is celebrated 19 days after Pentecost and it reminds us that we are called to the fullness of life through the love of Jesus. Jesus' physical heart is the representation of his divine love for humanity. The wounds and crowns represent the cruel death Jesus endured for us, and the shining rays are a symbol of his love for us. The Feast of the Sacred Heart is meant to remind people of Jesus' love and to encourage the faithful to make reparation for the many sins committed against him.

O Most Scared Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on us.
