Parish Notices for the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. Tomorrow/Today (August 11th) there will be the monthly Marian Devotions in Laventille. Even if you cannot go we would like to encourage you to join spiritually with the pilgrims by prayer.
2. On Thursday (15^th of August) we will celebrate the great Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven. Please come to give thanks God for what He has done to Mary and what He has prepared for us. The mass will be at 6 in the morning in St. Joseph and 6 pm in Mt. D’or.
3. Our annual Independence BBQ is on Saturday 31^st August. If you would like to assist us by sponsoring some of the ingredients – rice, a case of chicken, please contact Deacon Jeffrey. Tickets cost $40.00. The menu includes Savoury Rice, Pasta & Green Salad.
4. The new R.C.I.A. program begins on Friday, September 6th @ 7pm in the Parish Hall. It is open to all young adults -17 years & over - who would like to complete their Christian Initiation, and persons desirous of being baptised or received in the Church.
5. The next Infant Baptism is on Saturday 7^th September. Registration takes place on Monday afternoons in the Parish Office. Please bring along the original birth paper and the names of the 2 Catholic godparents when registering.
6. There will be a meeting of the CCSJ: St. Joseph/Mt.D'or Parish Group on Sunday 11^th August, 2013 after the 8.30 AM Mass.
