Parish Notices for the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time

  1. Tomorrow/Today we are going as a community to a pilgrimage to Siparia Devotions. We will leave from our parish car park at 12.30 pm. The cost of the trip is 60 $ for transportation. Please contact Lynette Taitt for more information (for example if there are any free seats). Her number is also on the C. News stand.
  2. We are very happy that we have inaugurated a new ministry: Legal Aid and Mediation service. Some of our parishioners practicing law and mediation volunteered their experience and time to help those who need assistance with some legal issues or matters needed mediation. We are very grateful to them. And we would like you encourage you to come and ask for help (if you need one) or share this invitations with those who may need help. Please remember that we already offer the counseling – psychological help. We have only two counselors who are overburdened, so we need more people who would like to serve in this beautiful way. Any contacts, appointments to receive counseling, legal help or mediation may be made through the parish office. For more information talk with the Father.
  3. The Feast of St. Joseph will be celebrated on Sunday 16th March 2014. If you would like to assist please check with Deacon Jeffrey. There will be another planning meeting on Monday 10rd February @ 6pm.  Just in time for our feast day, adult male and female Polo shirts.
  4. A reminder to persons or families who hold leases for burial plots in our churchyard private cemetery behind the church, to come to the parish office to renew the said leases. Also all those who hold a lease for any plot in the King Street cemetery and  have not yet come to renew the said lease are kindly asked to do so before Easter, even if the lease is still valid. Please help us by sharing this information with all persons who may have such a lease and are not aware we are conducting this renewal exercise. Please call the parish office to schedule an appointment before coming.
  5. First Communion Registration will begin on Saturday 15th February. Parents are to bring the original and a copy of the child's Birth Certificate and Baptismal Certificate.
Blessings to ALL our parishioners this week!
