The Season of Easter is a time of rebirth for the Church. The Eastertide is the most important feast in the Christian calendar, even more important than Christmas. The Easter season continues on for 50 days, through the Ascension of Our Lord straight to Pentecost Sunday.
The Easter Season is the fulfillment of our faith as Christians. Through His death, Christ destroyed our bondage to sin; through His Resurrection, He brought us the promise of new life, both in Heaven and on earth.
"Christ, as we know, having been raised from the dead will never die again. Death has no power over him any more." Romans 6: 9
Now, let us rejoice and be glad that Our God Reigns!
