Corpus Christi 2013 (Mass & Procession)

On Wednesday May 30th, St. Joseph/ Mt.D’or Parish celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi with Holy Mass followed by a Procession with the Blessed Sacrament though the streets of St. Joseph and Benediction in the Church. This was the first time in many years that an event like this took place in the parish and for many parishioners it brought back fond memories of their childhood. The Boys, Girls, Convent and St. Xavier’s Private School from the community came together to form part of the procession and some selected students also played meaningful roles within the mass. Amid the terrible rains over the past few days, the weather was very friendly to us. Holy Mass began at 6:30PM with both St. Joseph and Mt. D’or merging for a joint liturgy and then the procession. Devotions during the faith walk included the recitation of the Holy Rosary, scripture readings and Fr. Karol blessing the four (4) corners of the nation- North, South, East and West at the site of Medical Associates. The evening’s proceedings concluded in the church with Benediction.

On behalf of the Parish Administration, we would like to thank all those assisted in the liturgy:
- The Altar Servers
- The Readers & Animator
- The Schools of the Communities and the respective Principals
- The Police
- All the Parishioners
- The Choir

May God and his awesome spirit Bless each and everyone of you. Thank You!!!
